The Devon Lace Teachers are a group of teachers first formed in 1949- this year is our 70th anniversary-for the teaching of lace making. Initially Honiton Lace was the predominant lace taught, but nowadays different laces from around the world have been learnt and studied by our members and are now being passed on to students.
We always give our exhibitions a theme to bring the work together and this year our display is 'Springtime '. There will be demonstrations and we also encourage visitors to try it for themselves on our practice pillow.
To find out more about this incredibly skilled craft please visit The Devon Lace Teachers on stand 190. Here you will be able to meet members and be able to ask questions and discover more about this historic craft.
