Ever found inserting a zip a lot of hassle? We can help with that as in this 1-hour workshop we will show you the simplest method for sewing a lapped zip.

No need to bring a sewing machine, just bring a hand sewing kit with needle and thread and some small scissors if you have any. We can provide a zip and all materials you will need to get a professional finish.

About Jonquil:

Jonquil Brooks, a Hornsey College of Art–trained fashion designer, worked internationally for brands including Marks & Spencer, Selfridges and Debenhams before moving into education, where she taught fashion design, pattern cutting and garment making up to degree level and served as Chief Examiner for A-level Dress & Textiles. Now retired from management, she runs Make Clothes That Fit, offering dressmaking, design and pattern-cutting courses from her Congresbury studio, with additional classes in nearby towns.
