Asmaa Al-Allak – Sewing Bee Winner & Co-Founder of Imperfectly Perfect

Asmaa Al-Allak is best known as the winner of The Great British Sewing Bee 2023, where she captured the hearts of viewers with her creativity, precision and warm personality. Away from the sewing room, Asmaa works as a Consultant Breast Surgeon, balancing a demanding professional career with her passion for making.

During the 2023 series, Asmaa was brought together with fellow contestants Fauve, a Family Law Solicitor, and Tony, a Postman. Meeting on screen and bonding over a shared love of sewing, the trio formed a lasting friendship rooted in creativity, community and mutual support.

Since the Bee, and alongside their day jobs, Asmaa and Fauve have launched their creative venture, Imperfectly Perfect by Fauve & Asmaa, dedicated to teaching sewing and encouraging makers of all abilities to build confidence and enjoy the process. Tony has also been busy running sewing classes, sharing his skills and enthusiasm for crafting.

This year, they’ll be coming together at show to share their knowledge and run inspiring sewing masterclasses. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn from Sewing Bee favourites, gain expert advice, and be part of a creative, welcoming community, so do come and join them!
