A 14-year, award winning global, collaborative embroidery project
Experience the Red Dress Project at Westpoint
We are honoured to announce that The Red Dress, a globally celebrated artwork by British artist Kirstie Macleod, will be on display every day of the show at Westpoint. This is a rare opportunity for visitors to see this extraordinary garment firsthand.
From 2009 to 2023, the Red Dress travelled the world, providing a platform for individuals—primarily women living in vulnerable conditions—to share their stories through embroidery. Made from 87 pieces of burgundy silk dupion, the dress features the work of 367 artists from 51 countries, including refugees, survivors of war, and individuals from diverse communities across the globe.
Don’t miss this powerful symbol of resilience and creativity on display—an inspiring tribute to voices united through art.
