Meet the Stars: Maria Maidment of Old Maid New

We’re pleased to welcome Maria Maidment of Old Maid New to Westpoint this year. A renowned textile conservator, fabric and goldwork specialist, and TV demonstrator, Maria will be sharing a live goldwork embroidery demo at her stand, giving visitors the chance to see this intricate heritage technique up close and ask questions as she works.

With over 30 years’ experience in the textile industry and a specialism in textile conservation (working with organisations including the National Trust, museums and private clients), Maria is passionate about keeping traditional skills alive through modern, accessible teaching.
