Fabrica Trading Stations Story
Bringing African joy and sunshine to Exeter, Fabrica Trading Station is joining Craft4Crafters & Stitching4All for the first time and they’re arriving with the UK’s largest collection of authentic “Three Cats” Shweshwe. Expect a stand full of bold colour, rhythm and heritage prints, with loads of colours/patterns and authentic designs to choose from, all carefully sourced for makers who want something a little different in their sewing room.
At Stand 121 you’ll be able to shop metres, half metres and fat quarters, plus African safari panels, standout statement prints (including favourites like Africa’s Rhythms and Dancing Ladies), braid trims, kits, finished items and ceramic buttons — so whether you’re quilting, dressmaking, or adding personality to home décor, you’ll find plenty of inspiration (and a few “I didn’t come for that, but I need it” treasures too!).
What makes Shweshwe special?
Shweshwe is a heritage cotton fabric with a fascinating story: first produced in Manchester, and today made in South Africa and associated with the iconic Three Cats mark. Fabrica Trading Station imports authentic Da Gama Three Cats Shweshwe directly from South Africa, helping offer both excellent value and a wide, vibrant selection.
