In this workshop, Millie from The Slipped Stitch will introduce you to stranded knitting (often called colourwork) and help you build confidence with the essentials so you can start adding beautiful patterns to your knitting.

You’ll learn how to read a colourwork chart, understand how it translates to your stitches, and follow it accurately as you knit. Millie will also teach you how to carry your yarn colours neatly and how to manage and hold floats (the strands of yarn that run behind your work) so your knitting stays tidy, comfortable to wear, and doesn’t pucker.

By the end of the session you’ll have a clear understanding of the key techniques, plus practical tips for smooth tension and clean results, ready to take on your next stranded project with confidence.
