Reimagine an old book into something completely new in this fun, hands-on workshop with Sherril Olive from Creative Southwest. We all have a book at home that’s seen better days, in this session you’ll learn how to recycle and transform it into a beautiful handmade journal, perfect as a diary, sketchbook, scrapbook or memory book.
Sherril will guide you step-by-step through the process, sharing her best tips and “little tricks” for creating a sturdy, professional-looking finish. You’ll learn how to prepare your book, adapt the pages, and build a fresh new interior that’s ready for writing, planning, photos or keepsakes. It’s a wonderfully satisfying make, great for beginners, and you’ll leave with a unique, upcycled book that’s full of character, ideal for yourself or as a thoughtful handmade gift.
Please bring an old book of your own (no larger than A5).
