ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Crochet something a little spooky
Create your own crochet bat appliqué and add a handmade finishing touch to Halloween.
During this one-hour workshop, Steph will guide you through creating a crochet bat appliqué that can be used to decorate clothing, bags, accessories or seasonal decorations.
This workshop is aimed at crocheters who already know the basic techniques required, so you can concentrate on shaping your bat and bringing the design together.
Every participant will also receive the full pattern to take home, so you can make more bats after the workshop in different colours and sizes.

This workshop is not designed for complete beginners. You should already be comfortable with:

SUPPORTING THE RENDEZVOUS
Steph is fundraising for The Rendezvous, a local charity supporting young people across South Somerset and North Dorset as they make the transition into adulthood.
The charity provides support including English and Maths tuition, CV writing, applications for college and employment, and mental health support. Steph also volunteers with The Rendezvous as an English and Maths tutor.

MEET YOUR TUTOR
Steph · Crafting by Steph
A lifelong crafter with more than 60 years of crochet experience.
Steph has been an avid crafter for most of her life and is still discovering and learning new creative skills. Through Crafting by Steph, she now shares her knowledge and experience with others through friendly, accessible workshops.
Alongside crochet, Steph creates jewellery using her own unique abstract photography and upcycles home décor, which she sells at craft fairs and through the Crafting by Steph website.
Her workshops are designed to encourage people to have a go, enjoy the process and discover the satisfaction that comes from making something yourself.
