What You'll Make

Create a tiny book full of character

There is something rather irresistible about a miniature handmade book — particularly when you've chosen all the elements yourself.

Janie will guide you through the process of bringing the different components together to create your own micro book.

  • Choose from a selection of Italian leathers
  • Select beautifully printed pages for your book
  • Learn how the miniature book is constructed
  • Add a metal stud closure to finish your design
  • Take your completed micro leather book home
Make It Your Own

No two little books need be the same

One of the pleasures of this make & take is being able to choose the materials that appeal to you.

Different leathers and printed pages create completely different results, so your finished book can have its own personality.

Whether you're already interested in book binding, paper craft and mixed media or simply fancy making something unusual, this is a great opportunity to try the technique with Janie's guidance.

Why Try It?

A little project with lots to discover

You don't need to commit to a full-day class to experience the satisfaction of handmade book binding.

This make & take gives you the chance to sit down, learn directly from Janie and leave the show with something you've made yourself.

Perfect For...

Paper lovers, book makers and curious crafters

If you love decorative papers, mixed media, journals, miniature projects or handmade books, there's plenty here to enjoy.

It's also a lovely introduction for anyone who has admired book binding but hasn't known where to start.

Janie's relaxed teaching style makes the craft accessible, helping both beginners and more experienced makers enjoy the process.
