Portishead Quilters: Over 30 Years of Making Together

A welcoming local group bringing together a shared love of patchwork, quilting and creativity.

For more than 30 years, Portishead Quilters have been bringing local makers together to share their enjoyment of patchwork and quilting. Meeting twice a month at Redcliffe Bay Hall in Portishead, the group offers a warm welcome to new members and enjoys a varied programme of visiting speakers, member-led evenings and one-day workshops throughout the year.

The group also regularly uses its creativity to support charitable causes and stages a three-day exhibition every other year, giving members the opportunity to showcase their work. Their next exhibition will take place from 13–15 May 2027 at St Nicholas Church, Portishead.

We’re delighted to welcome Portishead Quilters to the show. Come along, meet some of the members, take a closer look at their work and discover more about this friendly and long-established quilting community.
