Anne Hellyer -Renowned Textile Artist Extraordinaire

Hand-Painted Textiles with a Twist

We’re thrilled to welcome Anne Hellyer, a Hampshire-based textile artist whose work beautifully combines hand-painted fabrics and free-machine embroidery to create sculptural, light-catching pieces that bring warmth and texture to any space.

Anne’s creative journey began at an early age, inspired by her grandmother’s sewing machine, and continued through her involvement with the Embroiderers’ Guild, ultimately leading to a City & Guilds qualification in Creative Embroidery. Her passion for fabric, colour, and stitch shines through in every piece she creates.

At the show, you’ll find Anne at her stand each day, where you can watch her process in action — from painting and printing her own fabrics to building richly embroidered layers that transform into unique, three-dimensional textile artworks. Each piece is individually designed and made in her Hampshire studio, resulting in work that is not only beautiful and tactile, but also wonderfully flexible — self-supporting for shelf display, wall-mountable, or gently reshaped to suit your space and mood.

Come and explore Anne’s joyful, painterly textiles up close, chat with her about her techniques, and perhaps even find the perfect piece or kit to take home and make your own.

Join Anne’s Festive Workshop!
Each day at the show, Anne will also be running a festive workshop, where you can create your very own “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” — a delightful design that can be made into either a brooch or a festive hanging decoration for your Christmas tree.

Spaces are limited and this workshop is sure to be popular — don’t miss your chance to stitch a little Christmas magic with Anne!
