Jonquil Brooks' impressive career began at the prestigious Hornsey College of Art in London, where she earned her BA Hons in Fashion and Textiles design. Her journey then took her across the globe, working as a Head Designer in London, the USA, Canada, Israel, and Turkey, as well as for renowned companies in the South West of England.
Her portfolio includes work with household names such as Marks and Spencer, Selfridges, and Debenhams, where she contributed her expertise as a professional fashion designer. Her designs have graced the collections of these iconic brands, showcasing her talent and creativity.
From the Industry to the Classroom
Jonquil's passion for fashion extended into education, where she began as a Visiting Tutor at the London College of Fashion. There, she completed her teacher training and embarked on a fulfilling career in education. She served as a full-time lecturer and educational manager in colleges across the South of England, teaching fashion design, pattern cutting, and garment making from GCSE up to degree level.
Her contributions to education have shaped countless aspiring designers, providing them with the skills and inspiration needed to succeed in the fashion industry.
