She started her journey with Overly Gorgeous in a garden shed, later expanding to a shop where she inspired countless crafters by offering fabrics, haberdashery, and classes. In 2022, Julie took a bold step to close her shop and focus on her true calling—teaching.

Now, through Sew Yourself Happy, Julie dedicates her time to running dressmaking and sewing classes across Devon, creating a supportive community for sewing enthusiasts. She also organizes retreats that allow participants to immerse themselves in their craft, build friendships, and discover new inspiration.
