Parkhouse Patchwork 35th Anniversary Charity Quilt: 'Jewel'

As part of the celebrations marking its 35th anniversary, Parkhouse Patchwork is proud to present 'Jewel,' a stunning charity quilt created by members of the group. This special quilt will be raffled to raise funds for the Seamoor Cancer Support Unit at North Devon District Hospital, with all proceeds going directly to this invaluable service.

The Seamoor Cancer Support Unit was chosen as the beneficiary because several of our members have relied on its care during their cancer treatment. By supporting this raffle, we hope to contribute to the continued operation and expansion of the unit, ensuring that as many patients as possible can access its vital services.

The raffle draw for 'Jewel' will take place on Saturday, 14th June 2025, coinciding with the final day of our bi-annual Exhibition at the Parkhouse Centre in Bude. This exhibition is a celebration of our members' work, providing an opportunity for visitors to admire the artistry and dedication that goes into patchwork and quilting.

About Parkhouse Patchwork

Founded in 1990, Parkhouse Patchwork has fostered a community of passionate quilters for 35 years. The group meets twice monthly from September to June, offering evening and all-day sessions that feature workshops and guest speakers from both local and national quilting circles. Our meetings are held in and around Bude, North Cornwall, with a focus on promoting and encouraging the craft of patchwork and quilting.

For those new to the art, weekly teaching classes are available, ensuring that anyone with an interest can develop their skills. Experienced members are always on hand at our monthly sessions to offer advice and guidance, making it an inviting and supportive space for all who wish to participate.

We warmly welcome new members to join us and share in the joy of quilting. Whether you're a seasoned quilter or a complete beginner, there is a place for you at Parkhouse Patchwork.

We invite everyone to visit our Exhibition in June 2025, support our raffle, and celebrate 35 years of creativity and community. Together, we can help make a difference for those in need of cancer support services.
