If you don't complete every stitch during the workshop, the instructions and stitch directory mean you can confidently continue your piece at home.
Create a flower that's completely your own
You'll use embroidery stitches to build a beautiful floral picture within an embroidery ring, combining stitch, texture and colour to develop the design.
One of the pleasures of hand embroidery is that no two stitched pieces turn out exactly alike. Small choices in thread placement, stitch and texture give every finished flower its own character.
Once finished, the embroidery ring becomes part of the presentation, allowing your stitched flower to be displayed on the wall as a small piece of textile art.
A project you can enjoy beyond the show
This workshop is a chance to spend some focused creative time developing your embroidery while working towards a finished piece you'll actually want to display.
The small group size means there are only six participants working at any one time, while the take-home instructions allow you to continue without the pressure of having to complete every detail before you leave.
It's an ideal next step for stitchers who already have some experience and would like a beautifully presented project to work on.
Your choice of stitches and the way your flower develops means your finished piece will be uniquely yours.
