Alison Hulme, Design Led Textile Artist

Alison Hulme

Textile Art Full of Colour, Character and Creativity

We’re delighted to be welcoming Alison Hulme, a Hampshire-based textile artist known for her bold ideas, playful approach and unmistakable sense of colour.

Since completing her Foundation Degree in Stitched Textiles in 2013, Alison has exhibited her work at galleries and shows across the UK, while also sharing her knowledge through talks, demonstrations and hands-on workshops. Her work often begins with a simple idea or spontaneous “lightbulb” moment, developing into lively, contemporary pieces full of pattern, personality and humour.

Now working from her own studio, Alison also welcomes groups into her creative space for workshops that encourage experimentation, confidence and, above all, enjoyment of the making process.

At the show, visitors can expect the same energy at her stand, with plenty of opportunity to:

  • Explore Alison’s colourful stitched textile work

  • Discover the ideas and processes behind her designs

  • Ask questions and pick up practical tips

  • Find inspiration for your own textile projects

Alison is also a proud member of ZeroNine, a textile collective formed with fellow City & Guilds classmates, reflecting the strong sense of creativity and community that runs through her work.

You’ll be able to meet Alison every day at the show, so make sure you stop by, have a chat and enjoy a closer look at her wonderfully distinctive textile art.
