Bringing the Wild to Life with Andrea Oakwood

Explore the beauty of nature through art that inspires connection, care, and creativity.

We’re delighted to welcome Andrea Oakwood, a Castle Cary–based botanical artist and ecologist whose practice grows from real field knowledge and a deep love of wild places. With an MSc in Conservation Biology (UCL), Andrea brings a scientist’s eye to her art, creating nature inspired pieces from her home studio that invite you to slow down and reconnect with living systems.

Andrea describes her ethos as “Botanical Artist — Reverence for the Wild, Art for the Heart,” and her work reflects that - quiet, meticulous studies with an underlying call to care. Alongside her studio practice, she has experience as a Somerset-based Garden consultant and tutor, connecting creativity with an abundance of practical biodiversity knowledge.

Visit her stand to meet Andrea in person, explore original botanicals and fine-art prints, and chat about the species, stories and processes behind them—perfect inspiration for nature-lovers and makers looking to bring ecology into their craft. You can also follow her updates and nature notes on social as @_wild_impressions.

We’re excited to have Andrea with us—come discover how science, care and craft meet in works that feel as restorative as a walk in the woods.
